Our veterinarians perform cardiac evaluations using digital electrocardiography (ECG/EKG), high definition oscillometry (HDO), Digital Radiography, and/or Ultrasonography.

These non-invasive digital technologies offer the advantage of more accurate and detailed in-house analysis and interpretation, allowing for rapid diagnoses. Additionally, results are easily accessible and transmittable in the event your pet requires referral to a board-certified cardiologist or imaging specialist.

Coupled with years of diagnostic experience, the aforementioned technologies can aid our veterinarians in screening for a variety of congenital and/or acquired heart problems, including:

  • Arrhythmia (rate and/or rhythm)
  • Cardiomegaly (enlarged heart)
  • Heart failure
  • Murmurs and abnormal heart sounds
  • Respiratory difficulty
  • Syncope (intermittent collapse)
  • Thromboambolic disease (clots)
